He passed away on a Sunday. The Medallion Summer Games were scheduled for the following Thursday. We couldn't reschedule, there were too many people/families involved and Dad would not have wanted us to anyway. So we had the Games Thursday morning and the viewing Thursday night. The funeral was on Friday. My dad had a few medical problems that held him back from doing all the things he wanted to do and forced him to do less and less at Medallion the last few years. But he came to the events when he could, riding his Ranger and he always asked how everything and everyone was doing at Medallion.
